JOURNEY'S END (2017)

JOURNEY'S END (2017)

JOURNEY'S END will be the most significant film made during the WW1 Centenary. The stage play is beloved and renowned across the UK and around the world and has huge prestige and pedigree.

Fluidity Films is working with HRH The Duke of York, Sir Anthony Seldon and many other individuals and organisations to create the totemic film for the Centenary from which will flow education, history, culture and, of course, remembrance.

It was written by war veteran RC Sherriff in 1928, ten years after the Armistice at a time when public opinion was daring to question the purpose of the Great War. He had caught the mood of the nation. Journey’s End opened in the West End with Laurence Olivier playing Stanhope and it continued to play to packed houses for years afterwards.

Saul Dibb directs with Fluidity's Simon Reade and Guy de Beaujeu producing. Simon has also written the screenplay. Andy stars alongside Sam Claflin, Paul Bettany and Asa Butterfield with further cast including Toby Jones, Tom Sturridge and Stephen Graham.

THE DEATH OF STALIN (2017)

THE DEATH OF STALIN (2017)

THE DEATH OF STALIN is a feature adaptation on Fabien-Nury’s acclaimed graphic novel that follows the Soviet dictator’s last days and depicts the chaos of the regime after his death in 1953 after 30 years of iron-fisted rule over the Soviet Union. Stalin’s death has been the subject of much conjecture and conspiracy theories over the years, with some asserting he was poisoned under the orders of KGB chief Lavrenty Beria to prevent the bellicose Stalin from plunging the country and world into World War III. That Beria, who ranked only behind Stalin in terms of fearsome reputation, was himself executed months later under charges of being an agent for Western intelligence agencies, has only added to the mystique surrounding that epochal moment in history.

Armando Iannucci directs and has written the screenplay with frequent collaborator David Schneider, with Ian Martin (In The Loop, Veep) also doing a polish. Quad’s Laurent Zeitoun, Yann Zenou and Nicolas Duval Adassovsky produce alongside Kevin Loader (The Lady In The Van). Andy features alongside Paddy Considine with further cast including Steve Buscemi, Simon Russell Beale, Andrea Riseborough, Jeffrey Tambor, Rupert Friend, Michael Palin, Jason Isaacs, Olga Kurylenko and Paul Whitehouse.
